Application Process – How it Works
SOAR is part of the Denver Public Schools SchoolChoice Enrollment Process.
Applications for Round 1 enrollment are available on February 1, 2018 and the deadline for submission is February 28, 2018 at 4:00 PM.
Families will rank their top 5 school choices. Every student is assigned to a school based on their lottery number and the order that schools are ranked on the application.
Due to the new February window, school assignment results are expected to be sent to families in early April, and Round 2 of SchoolChoice will open in mid-April. (Round 2 is for families who did not take part in Round 1, or who did but want to revisit their school options.)
If the SOAR has available space for the 2018-19 school year at the time you submit your application, your student will be approved and enrolled. If a wait-list exists, the student will be added to the wait-list.
