Starting with Remote Learning
Dear SOAR Families, we hope this message finds you doing well.
As you know there is a lot of information in the news right now about when and how students should return to school. The SOAR leadership team is working very closely with health officials and the district to provide a safe reentry to school in the fall.
Just today we learned that we will start the school year with online learning. Online learning will begin on August 24, 2020. This is one week later than originally planned to support additional planning required for health and safety protocols to be in place.
Because of this change, we will not require that Chromebooks be checked back in. Instead, a new plan will be created for issuing Chromebooks to new students and students who have already turned theirs in.
As soon as we complete this planning there will be a comprehensive communication sent to all of our families that addresses all of the health and safety measures required for our kids and staff to be safe.
